2025 Maine Tax Education Programs

SCORE Maine offers two annual programs: the Tax Practitioner Institute (TPI) and the Maine Tax Forum (MTF). These virtual events help tax professionals stay current on Maine and federal tax law while earning continuing education credits. They are designed for CPAs, Enrolled Agents, tax preparers, and attorneys seeking practical updates they can apply in their work. Each program features sessions led by experienced professionals and regulators, with content focused on real-world application, compliance, and client impact.

The Tax Practitioner Institute will take place on October 22, and the Maine Tax Forum on November 5-6.

This year’s sessions will cover a range of timely topics, including the 2025 tax law changes, real estate taxation, digital asset taxation, estate and gift tax updates, SECURE 2.0 planning, ethics requirements, business structures, Maine-specific tax changes, and more.

SCORE Maine’s 110+ mentors provide FREE services virtually, on the phone, or in-person.
In 2024, SCORE Maine facilitated 4,289 client sessions, and delivered 110 online webinars and in-person workshops, helping educate 4,214 attendees.  In 2024, SCORE Maine helped start over 560 new business and create 1,700+ non-owner jobs.
